Bizzaro Twilight by booboo.kitty2.0

Title: Bizzaro Twilight
Author: booboo.kitty2.0
Status: Complete
Rating: M
Chapter Count: 19
Story: Link
Summary: -AU- What would Twilight have been like if the roles were reversed? Edward, Emmett & Jasper are humans living in Forks with their dad, Charlie working at the police station. Bella, Rosalie & Alice are vampires sent to live in Forks by Carlisle & Esme

----

The summary is what got me for this story. For the most part, I don't really read AU with Vamps, and hardly ever anything that says 'what if... Twilight' but I found myself intrigued anyway and started in on the story. It starts with three girl vamps being exiled in Forks and bored, but quickly escalates when the smells of their mates find them hot on the trail of three human boys. Antics and sexy dreams ensue.

There were things that worked, and things that (for me) didn't work. For instance, the idea of Bella's power, and how the three women can share and connect, that was utterly brilliant. The dialogue for the most part, was good, but sometimes felt so contrived.

There was the cliche drinking game, but this one made me laugh, with the stripping shots twist. I thought it was great how the three of the girls seemed particularly witty and sexy.

booboo.kitty2.0 didn't leave Bella as this helpless girl, nor did she make Edward some helpless little character. I hate simpering Bella/Edward. I liked the vividness to their characters, especially Emmett. Emmett's my fave, he's always the comic relief, but in this story, he was the big brother cum scaredy cat cum decision maker.

I really enjoyed how the author took liberties with the changing process, utilizing the gifts she'd given to the girls (and boys) to put a new twist on an old story.

My favorite part, besides the SEXY SEXY dream sequences, was the plot twist toward the end. Always a good way to go.

There were mistakes, grammar, spelling, tenses, the usual, but I make those mistakes too. The one thing I can say I didn't care for, was the POV switching. I hate when writers switch POVs and then overlap when going to another. But that's just my opinion, I know a few who love getting into the other character's heads.

Not my forte, not my thing.

Mishaps and Turmoil

So today's just been one of those days. Yesterday too I twittered: "I'm happy to have a job, just not happy to have THIS job" which, to my great amusement was retweeted like fifteen times. That was a perk. I have one of those jobs were we sign a confidentiality agreement during the interview process so we can't talk to the press or really talk about the details, but my job really sucks sometimes.

I'm grateful to have a good in this economy that's willing to work with my schedule for classes and stuff, but I hate lying to people because someone above me didn't do what they were supposed to.

Also, I'm apparently too flirty. My COO had a meeting with one of my friends who works here and asked if we were seeing each other. When I was told (by my friend) I lol'd at first, but now its got me thinking abt how many people think that also. I mean, homeboy's married, and he's really just a friend. I'm not the homewrecking type.

SC is in between a rock and a hard place right now, the hard place being the bathroom floor I've left them on. Fml

I'm writing a oneshot abt the gold rush, also a disneyland piece, a salon piece, and a piece with snshyne with a fairytale twist.

intro

So I'll introduce myself, i suppose.

First, please let me say that if i incorrectly spell anything, disregard it. i'm not going to use proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, anything. this is where i'll vent about how the stories are going, or what i'm doing, or when i'm bored at work... you guessed it, i'll post about it.

i'm not very interesting on a regular basis, but some of the time, i've been told i'm pretty dang amusing, so i'll tell you right now, watch out!

i use 'lol' and 'brb' IRL, like aloud, and it's fun, so i'll probs write them in here too.

my name is chelsea. most of my friends call me chelshaa, that's like 'chel-shuh' kinda sorta. i'm twenty-one years young, naive but also wise. i've had to deal with a shitton in my short time, and because of it, i never really had a childhood. i don't blame anyone for it, i actually think i'm stronger for it.

i go to school, i'm getting my Associates in May and transfering to a university in August to get my Bachelors. After, I'll probably do grad work to get my masters in teaching, as an English major.

i like to read books that i can pick up in the morning, and have finished by the end of the day; ie percy jackson, twilight, cowboy romance novels by catherine anderson, etc. i don't have a particular genre i like, but I love love love american lit. I adore Fitz, JD Sal (RIP), Thoreau, Miller, Twain, Montgomery, etc. My fave book of all time is either Jack London's Call of the Wild or Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables.

i love to read, and write, and talk (talkkkk!!!) i love pretending that i know french, when really, all i can say is like, 'my name is...' and 'one, two, three, four,' and maybe 'cheese omelet'.

i watch very little television, including the following; Food Network, Glee, Bones, Fringe, NCIS, TrueBlood. I don't really watch reality TV (i think it's lame) but the food network is my default.

the movies i see vary based on my mood, but generally, i like seeing movies that will leave me happy, ie disney.

i'm a little kid everytime i go to disneyland, i love the magic, and love the atmosphere, and it's generally my favorite place to be.

i have a blackberry curve 8330, in silver, his name is Herbert. My laptop is a Dell XPS in black, and his name is Humphrey (of the Bogart persuasion). My car is a toyota corolla in white, his name is greggory walker. my iPod is a black 20 gig named albert. i have a wii, who's name is bartleby, and my old laptop's name was demetri (he died by a pornvirus, not from me, i swear)

i love the beatles, and frank sinatra and elvis presley, i love glam rock (queen) and 80's women (blondie, patbene, and joanjett) . i don't really say no to music, if the beat is good, and it matches my mood, i'd probably listen to it; that includes you too, ke$ha, no matter how much you look like a trany-junkie. i'll say this though, i'm more of an indie rock kind of kid.

that's all for now, ask and you shall receive
